Lack of Engagement
I have spoken a lot about Jeff’s lack of engagement during the Town Council meetings. Below is a chart for you to see the meetings he attended and how many times he actually made comments.
Type of Meeting | Total # of Meetings | Total Attended | Total Spoke At | 2019 Attended | 2019 Spoke At |
Regular | 24 | 24 | 7 | 10 | 2 |
Public | 15 | 15 | 0 | 7 | 0 |
Audit | 2 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Budget | 24 | 23 | 2 | 11 | 1 |
Special | 17 | 15 | 2 | 3 | 1 |
Budget Workshop | 25 | 21 | 5 | 9 | 2 |
Capital Budget Hearings | 24 | 24 | 3 | 7 | 1 |
Totals | 131 | 124 | 19 | 48 | 7 |
As you can see, in the past 2 years, he attended 124 out of 131 meetings, which is a credible 95% attendance record.
The problem is, he only spoke at 19 of the 124 meetings, 15% of the meetings. He spoke at even less in 2019.
The Cheshire Herald claims that he spoke when it mattered. If you review the minutes of the meetings, you will see that wasn’t the case.
We need 9 individuals on the Town Council who can speak for themselves and will be engaged in all meetings. We need different ideas, solutions and suggestions from each individual council member.
It’s time that the 3rd District has a voice!
